Frequently Asked Questions

1. When are the clinics? Tuesday- Friday from 10:00am- 4:00pm

2. Where will we be meeting? Cinder Skatepark

3. How much money will it cost? $35 per day

4. Is the camp an overnight camp?  No.  It is just a day camp.

5. What are the ages of participants?  We take students ages 6-18.

6. What is the instructor to participant ratio? 1 instructor to 6 students.

7. What is a typical day like? Students arrive at the park at 10:00am to get checked in. The instructors will do a short assessment of abilities to get the day started.  Then they will begin instruction with each student throughout the day. There is a 30-minute break for lunch. Pick up is at 4:00pm. Each student is guaranteed an hours worth of individual attention by the instructor throughout the day.

8. What if I get hurt?   A parent/guardian will be immediately contacted. Each person uses their own insurance.  However, The Essentials.str is covered with insurance policies for the skatepark.

9. How do I sign up? register online at www.cinderskatepark.com. Payments will be made through our secure use of the internets most trusted source for online transactions, Paypal.

10.  Do I have to sign a waiver? Yes. It is available online or in person at the skatepark. If the waiver is not signed in the presence of a Cinder Skatepark employee then the wavier must be notarized. There is no exception to this.

11.  Is there going to be food? You must provide lunch, preferably in a cooler. There are snacks and drinks that are available for purchase throughout the day in the Pro Shop.

12.  What do I need to bring? Your own gear if you have it (skateboard, helmet) and enthusiasm. However we do have rental boards that can be rented for 5 bucks.

13.  Can my parents watch? Parents may watch from the viewing area but are asked not to interfere with the camps. Students tend to learn faster without parents present. It is an intimidation thing.

14.  How do private lessons work? If you want some one-on-one instruction, then private lessons may be the thing for you.  It is for any age, and is $55 for a full hour of instruction.  You can sign up by contacting Cinder Skatepark and the instructor will get back in touch with you.  The lessons are subject to the availability of the instructor and your schedule.
